Qinghe town is located in Fangcheng County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. It is located in the west of Fangcheng County, on the West Bank of Daqing River, near Chengguan town in the East, Yuandian Township and Liuhe Township in the west, Zhaohe town in the southwest, Quanqiao town in the southeast, and silidian town and Yangji town in the north and northeast.

Evolution of organizational system

Qinghe commune was established in 1961 and the township was changed in 1983. In 1996, it covered an area of 152 square kilometers and had a population of 61000. On November 29, 2016, with the approval of the people's Government of Henan Province, it was agreed that Qinghe township of Fangcheng county should be removed from the township and built into a town, and the system of town governing village should be implemented, with the administrative region and government resident unchanged.

geographical environment

Its jurisdiction is high in the north and low in the south, accounting for 54% of the total area. Qinghe River, the main river in the territory, originates from the northern mountainous area and flows southward. It flows through 11 villages to xiaolvzhuang of Quanqiao Township and joins Panhe river. The river section in the territory is 24 km long. The Zhaohe river flows southward along the northwest boundary and becomes the boundary river between the township and Liuhe and Yuandian townships. The main peaks are Laoli mountain (370 meters above sea level), etc. The highest temperature in summer (July) is about 38 ℃, the lowest temperature in winter (January) is 8 ~ 10 ℃, and the annual average temperature is 15 ℃. Rainfall is mainly concentrated in July to September, with an average annual precipitation of 800-1200 mm. The frost free period is about 230 days.

Economics

The township is the main grain producing area of Fangcheng County, with a total cultivated land of 120000 mu, mainly producing wheat, corn, potato, beans, cotton, tobacco, etc. Before liberation, the grain yield per mu was no more than 100 Jin. Later, with the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and the improvement of irrigation conditions, the grain yield continued to increase. Now the production of small pepper is booming. Forestry has developed greatly, and 72000 mu of trees have been planted in the territory. In addition to the second branch of Yadong main canal and the tenth and eleventh branch canals, there are 10 second-class reservoirs and 1 Qinghe River sluice. The local industry is making continuous progress.

Mineral deposits

There are rutile in BAISHUGANG, youyazhuang and dougouhe areas, which are characterized by high grade, shallow burial and easy mining. The geological reserves are about 500000 tons, with a total value of more than 1 billion yuan. Others are limestone from daguzhuang and Dawa, polymetallic from shibanhe and dolomite from Liangzhuang.
