Jiacun Township
Jiacun township is located in the southwest of Wanrong County, 24 kilometers away from the county. It is connected with Gaocun Township in the East, Guanghua Township in the north, Wangxian Township in the South and Ronghe town in the West. Wenhe expressway, wangkai line and Wangqi line of County Road pass through the territory with convenient transportation. The total land area of the township is 65.02 square kilometers, and the cultivated land area is 77161.47 mu, including 35000 mu of fruit trees, more than 10000 mu of nectarine, and more than 30000 mu of other crops. Fruit trees and nectarine are the leading industries of economic development in our township. Jiacun township has 17 administrative villages, 108 residential groups, 17 party branches and 25584 permanent residents (2017). Under the jurisdiction of villages: Jia village, Yang Guo, tong'ai, Du Village, Zhang Lifeng, Da Xie, Da Jia, sun Jiazhuang, Wu Xue, Xi Siya, Dong Siya, Gong Village, Da Xiezhuang, Wu Village, Yu village, Li Jiazhuang, Wu Fu. In August 1954, Wanquan county and Ronghe county were merged into Wanrong County, and Jiacun township was one of 61 townships of 2 towns under the jurisdiction of Wanrong county. Jiacun township was originally under the jurisdiction of Ronghe and Wanquan counties. After the county was merged in 1954, it was divided into Tongai Township, Wufu Township and Daxie township. During the Great Leap Forward period in 1958, it was called Jia village commune together with Wu Ting and Xue Dian. In July 1961, Wuting and Xuedian were divided into wangya commune, and the rest remained unchanged. In October 1984, Jiacun people's commune was established and renamed Jiacun township. Jiacun temple has been famous for its fair trade since the 1930s. There is an ancient building named Houtu Niangniang Temple built in 1076. Jiacun Township takes Apple planting as the leading industry. There are 35 enterprises in the township, including 8 fruit warehouses, 2 fruit processing enterprises and 1 fruit basket production enterprise. Xingnong group and Hongda fruit and vegetable enterprises have developed rapidly, becoming the leading demonstration enterprises in our Township, effectively driving the development and prosperity of the masses. In 2011, the gross domestic product of the township reached 180 million yuan, the total income of rural economy was 99 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2900 yuan, including 63 million yuan of fruit industry income and 900 yuan of per capita net income of fruit farmers. The living standard of residents in the township was steadily improved. with the deepening of reform and opening up, small towns in Jiacun township are developing rapidly, and various service facilities are constantly improving. There are 1 township health center and 15 village clinics in the township; 7 schools, including 1 public middle school, 3 public primary school, 4 private kindergartens and 1 private primary school; a large shopping mall, Jiacun Township Trade Center, officially opened in October 2011; and a nursing home in the township.
