Chengdong street, Pingyao County, Shanxi Province, was established in December 2007. It is one of the three streets established by Shanxi provincial government in accordance with the protection and development needs of Pingyao ancient city and the management of Pingyao County compared with the county-level city. Together with the ancient city street, Chengxi street and gutao Town, it forms Pingyao County.

Chengdong street of Pingyao County has five communities: Kangning community, Shuguang community, Qiuyu community, Huifeng community and Jiuyanqiao community. Chengdong Street office is located in the east of Pingyao County, starting from the intersection of expressway, Kangning street, outside the south wall, outside the east wall, outside the north wall and east of Beiguan Street in the west, extending to Xiguo village and Pingyao middle school in the East and Zhongdu road in the north. The cultural activity center for senior cadres of the neighborhood committee of Qiuyu community was established, and the corresponding equipment and facilities were purchased. We have rented 200 square meters of facade room as the office space of HSBC community, with high standard facilities. A "one room multi-purpose" activity room integrating book reading room, conference room, party representative studio and resident activity room has been built, and a high standard benchmark neighborhood committee has been set up.

Dongcheng community work station was established on April 2, 2003 as a sub section level unit. At that time, there were three staff members. It was formed by the merger of the former Dongcheng neighborhood committee and Zhongcheng neighborhood committee. The office was located at No. 25, zhuanquanmen lane, with only one and a half rooms and an area of 20 square meters. The office was very simple. On November 2, 2003, it was moved to the Yizhen office building in Pingyao. On July 18, 2005, it was upgraded to a section level unit, The number of staff increased to 11; on September 9, 2009, due to a bankruptcy auction, they moved to Xiangcheng Huamu company, Zhongdu East Road, and the number of staff increased to 20. on October 1, 2011, Chengdong sub district office was established, with five neighborhood committees. In November 2013, he moved to the third floor of Kangning Street Environmental Protection Bureau. In October 2017, he moved to Xuefu East Street office building.
