Dazhai

Dazhai town is located in the southern suburb of Xiyang County. Its geographical coordinates are 37 ° 27 ′ - 37 ° 37 ′ N and 113 ° 24 ′ - 113 ° 47 ′ E. It borders the county in the north, Heshun in the west, Zhaobi Township and Sandu Township in the southeast, and national highway 207 and liugao highway meet here. It is a strong economic town in Xiyang County. The town government is located in Dazhai village, 5 kilometers away from the county.

Dazhai town is a hilly area, high in the West and low in the East, with hillside land accounting for about 70%. With an average altitude of 1420m and a maximum altitude of 1613m, Songxi river flows from south to north through the East.

Dazhai town covers an area of 185.31 square kilometers, accounting for 9.4% of the total area of the county. It has 57 administrative villages and 14 natural villages. The permanent population is 33636 (2017), and the cultivated land area is 51575.4 mu.

Dazhai town's industries include coal mining, cement manufacturing, furfural refining, shirt and sweater processing, etc. Agriculture is mainly planted with corn and millet.

In July 2020, Dazhai town was confirmed as a national health Township in 2019 by the National Patriotic Health Association.

Development policy

Since the reform and opening up, Dazhai people have undergone fundamental changes in ideology, development concept and production and management mode. Agricultural production has changed from the pursuit of quantity to the pursuit of quality and efficiency. The development of rural economy has gradually changed from relying solely on planting industry to the coordinated development of agriculture, industry and the third industry. At the end of 2003, the per capita industrial income of the town reached 264.4 billion yuan, accounting for the third largest part of the town's total income.

In the process of agricultural and rural economic development, the town vigorously implemented the engineering strategy, committed to improving the production, ecological and living environment. Water conservancy projects: in recent years, centering on the control of drought and the development of agriculture, we have closely grasped the pulse of "water" in agricultural production, and implemented the strategy of "water diversion, water saving, water diversion, water storage and water conservation". Using the national policy of collecting rainwater for irrigation and relieving the difficulties of people and livestock, we invested 2.9 million yuan in five key water conservancy projects. Ecological construction project: seize the strategic opportunity of the state's vigorous implementation of returning farmland to forest and the western development, and vigorously develop economic forest, ecological forest and seedling industry. Among the more than 50000 mu of cultivated land in the town, the sown area of grain is 36000 mu, accounting for 68%.

Vegetable industry

The vegetable planting area of the town reaches 2435 mu, and the key projects mainly include solar energy-saving greenhouses in Dazhai, Wujiaping and Liuzhuang villages, with a total of 81 greenhouses in the town. There are more than 50 kinds of fruits and vegetables planted in the greenhouse. There are more than 20 kinds of rare and special dishes, including banana zucchini, cherry tomato, purple cabbage, Meiyin long eggplant, Agaricus bisporus, celery, agaric, water spinach, chrysanthemum, pepper, etc.

Aquaculture

There are 18000 sheep, 1200 deer, 400 female deer, 800 child deer, 8000 yellow cattle, 5000 large livestock, 126 cows, 68000 chickens and 632 boxes of bees in the town.

Agricultural industry

In the aspect of agricultural opening up: at present, Dazhai industrial and Trade Park, Dazhai ecological agricultural science and technology demonstration zone and national Spark plan intensive zone have settled in Dazhai. Dazhai agricultural ecological park has five demonstration areas: pollution-free vegetable demonstration area, pollution-free fruit demonstration area, fine grain production demonstration area, factory virus-free seedling production demonstration area and artificial ecological protection forest demonstration area.

The open Dazhai town is not only in the ascendant of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and vegetable, but also a world-famous tourist attraction. Dazhai tourism, centered on Hutou Mountain Forest Park, has developed rapidly in recent years and has become a new economic growth point in Dazhai.

Main attractions

There are: Chen Yonggui tomb, Chen Yonggui statue, Dazhai exhibition hall, celebrity inscription hall, Premier Zhou Memorial Pavilion, Guo Moruo tombstone, Hutou Songtao, Dazhai Hongye, Daliu lyric, Shengtian cave, Tianqi temple, etc. Among the eight sceneries in Leping (Xiyang), there are four sceneries in the town, they are: Mengshan misty rain, ancient temple gardens, flood pond, Shima Hanyun. In recent years, as many as 300000 tourists come to Dazhai every year, and the comprehensive tourism income is more than 8 million yuan.
