Ximei Lake

Ximei lake, also known as DONGYUEMIAO reservoir, is a leisure resort in Central Sichuan. It is located in Hechi, Ximei Town, Suining City, about 20 kilometers away from the county seat. The scenic spot is close to mountains and rivers with beautiful scenery and complete recreational facilities. Within ten kilometers of the scenic spot, there are the famous Shisheng palace and huang'e's hometown in Sichuan, and within thirty kilometers there are Guangde Temple, Baima temple and Lingquan temple.

Historical development

In order to develop water sources, new reservoirs were built at the foot of DONGYUEMIAO mountain in the 1950s, also known as DONGYUEMIAO reservoir, hechishui reservoir and Ximei lake. In the 1960s, Soviet experts failed in oil exploration. They have been used as water sources until now, and will soon be developed into water world
