In the northeast of the county, it faces Luqiao town of Sanyuan County across Qinghe River in the East, Yunyang town of Jingyang County across Yeyu River in the south, Jianglu Township in the west, and cuoe mountain in the northwest. It is 15km away from Jingyang County, 9km away from Sanyuan County, and 50km away from Xi'an city. The township government is located in Yuejia village, and has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages with a total population of 24326.

The northwest of Longquan Township is limestone mountain system and Loess Plateau, with the highest altitude of 1432m. The southeast is plain area, with an average altitude of 420m. The total area of arable land is 36000 mu. The northwest region is mainly engaged in quicklime production, with agricultural production of grapes, apples and wheat. It is a high-quality grape production base with developed forestry. There is a Longquan villa covering more than 9000 mu of the ground. The southeast plain mainly produces all kinds of greenhouse vegetables, and there is a Longquan vegetable wholesale market covering an area of 60 mu. Cuo'e mountain in the northwest belongs to the mausoleum of Li Shi of Tang Dezong, which is a national first-class cultural relic protection unit. Longquan middle school was originally the Longquan Temple in the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. There are a number of stone tablets and sculptures. Longquan Township is named after this temple.
