Laopingwang Street

Old Pingwang street, originally belongs to Datong City. In 2018, it belongs to the newly established Yungang district.

Historical overview

In February and April, 2018, the State Council and the provincial government respectively approved the adjustment of some administrative divisions of Datong City, and changed it into Yungang District of Datong City: agreed to cancel the urban area, southern suburb and mining area of Datong City; agreed to set up Pingcheng District of Datong City, taking Nanguan street, Beiguan Street, Dongjie street, Xijie street, Dongjie street, Xijie street as the original urban area South Street Street, North Street Street, Xinjian South Road Street, Xinjian North Road Street, Daqing Road Street, Xinhua Street Street, xiangyangli street, Zhenhua South Street street. The administrative areas of shuiposi Township, Xinwang Township and majunying Township in the former southern suburbs are Pingcheng district.

It is agreed to establish Yungang District of Datong City, with xihuayuan street and laopingwang street in the original urban area, Gaoshan Town, Yungang Town, Kouquan Township, Pingwang Township, xihanling Township and yaerya Township in the original southern suburb, and the administrative area of the original mining area as the administrative area of Yungang district.

It is agreed that Gudian town in the former southern suburb should be put under the jurisdiction of Xinrong District.
