Yangmingpu town
Yangmingpu town is located 9 kilometers west of Daixian County, adjacent to Shangguan in the East, Yuanping in the west, Yanmen in the north and Hutuo in the south, which is the west gate of Daixian County. With a land area of 110 square kilometers and cultivated land area of 65000 mu, it governs 36 administrative villages and has a permanent resident population of 19214 (2017).
Yangmingpu town has convenient transportation. National Highway 108 runs through the East and west of the town. National Highway 208 and national highway 108 meet in the center of the town. Dayun Expressway passes through the northern part of the town and has an exit. The expressway connecting line and national highway 208 cross into a four lane intersection. Jingyuan railway passes through the town from east to west and has a railway station in the town. Beitongpu railway passes through the town in a straight line and has a railway station in xiaguanyuan village. The proposed Daxi high speed railway runs in parallel with Beitongpu line.

The origin of yangmingpu town
Yangmingbao was formerly known as Yangtou city. According to historical records, in the spring and Autumn period, the senior official of the Jin Dynasty took the surname of yangtongue, and his name was Tian, which means Shuxiang. It is said that when he was patrolling here, someone robbed the sheep and gave it to his mother, and the mother buried it, so the Temple of yangtongue senior official was built. There is a statue of sheep's head in the temple, commonly known as the city of sheep's head. Because it is located in the sun of Hutuo River, the fort was built in 1065. Then it evolved into Yangmingbao.
