Jialing town

Jialing township is located in the central and southern part of Yangcheng County. A mountain passes through it from east to west. Most villages are scattered on the north and south sides of the mountain. The township is another pass from the county to Henghe township. Covering an area of 75 square kilometers, the township is the main production area of Starling, a unique oil tree species, and also the characteristic production area of corn, wheat, millet, walnut and apple.

Jialing township is located in the dry stone mountain area at the foot of Jiecheng mountain. There are 22 administrative villages in Jialing Township, with more than 12700 people and 7000 livestock. Water intake is the most important problem for people and livestock. In the past, there was such a folk song: "Jialing, Jialing, a dry mountain, says that there is no forest in the mountain, that the river is uneven, and that the water is as expensive as gold after nine years of drought." This is a true portrayal of the general situation of Jialing. In the past, there were more than 10000 people and livestock who missed work every year. The grain output was low and the people's life was very hard. In order to solve the problem of draught for people and livestock in Jialing, the Party committee and government of Jialing Township made a grand plan of "diverting water from wengou karst cave, crossing mountains and ditches to the head" in 1972. Under the instruction of Comrade Mao Zedong that "water conservancy is the lifeblood of agriculture", the people of the whole Township raised 680000 yuan under the guidance of the township party committee and the township government. The project started in 1972 and was completed in April 1976. After four years of hard work, more than 170000 workers have been engaged in digging more than 98000 cubic meters of earth and stone. Starting from geleidongquan in wengou of Pandao village, it crosses the two mountains of Shiwa and jiuliang, passes through 11 villages of the township, including Pandao, Baimiao, nuanzhan, Hujia, sheao, Erli, Jide, Jialing, hongtanyao, Yanzhang and Fengtou, and reaches Fengtou directly. The whole stone masonry trunk canal is 20 kilometers long, and 15 cross canals are 30 kilometers long. Along the way, three reservoirs are dug and built, which can store 177000 cubic meters of water. There are 84 inverted siphons, aqueducts, tunnels and other projects in the whole canal. It can be said that the scale is huge and unparalleled for generations.

Yugong tunnel

Yugong tunnel is the throat of wengou water diversion project, which is located at the foot of Pandao mountain. From wengou in the south to Nangou in the north, the cave is 1480 meters long, 2 meters high and 1.8 meters wide. This cave can be used for both running water and pedestrians. It is the main road from wengou to Nangou. GUSHAN inverted rainbow Gushan inverted rainbow is a pivotal project, built in a deep ditch between the north side of Gushan and the sunny slope, with a total length of 500 meters. It is composed of 110 high-pressure cement pipes with an inner diameter of 0.6 meters. It is magnificent, like a rainbow lying on the main channel. Located in the west of Jialing village, the 50000 square pool is a 100 meter diameter, 6.5-meter-deep vertical cylindrical pool. It is the largest reservoir in our Township and can provide water for more than 4000 people and livestock in eight villages of Xiaban township. Jialing village took advantage of this pool and installed tap water in 1988. It became the first village to use tap water along the wengou water diversion project in our township. There are also schools of fish in the pool. It's really a treasure of fish and shrimp under the blue waves. Wengou water benefits the people.

"11" aqueduct

"11" aqueduct, located beside the North Avenue of hongtanyao village, is the only stone seven hole aqueduct in the whole canal. The bridge is 5 meters high, 1.5 meters wide and 48 meters long. the magnificent wengou water conservancy project, you are the pride of Jialing people, you are the crystallization of the wisdom of the masses. "The draught does not forget the Kaiqu people, the happiness does not forget the Communist Party" is the deepest feeling of Jialing people.
