West St

West Street is located in xiushanmen of Chizhou City, which leads to Changjiang Road from west to East. This street is the west section of Guoxi street, which is one of the bustling areas in Guichi District.

Style and features

There are a lot of shops on the street, all kinds of goods are in full sight, and shoppers are crowded with each other. In the square in the middle of the street, there are three bronze statues with the theme of Huanggong liquor: one is the village girl who carries liquor, two pots of falling arms, in the shape of drooping; one is the village old man who holds a cigarette pole, in the shape of resting; the other is the village woman's cart, in the shape of selling liquor. In Xinghua village outside xiushanmenwai, the story of the figure in this sculpture comes from Huang Guangrun's use of his own well water to brew good wine in Xinghua village, and people in the city compete for drinks. On the arch of the east gate of the West Street, there is a relief of Erlong Xizhu, which is exquisitely carved: there is a overpass in the street connecting the corridor on the second floor. West Street is also named national defense education street.

The old Linquan temple in the pedestrian street has disappeared.

Cultural transmission

Du Mu once wrote the poem "abandoned forest and Spring Temple in Chizhou":

Abandoned temple forest stream, decadent wall against chaos peak.

Looking at the bird returning to the tree, I still want to cross the mountain.
