Xincheng Town, belonging to Ningjiang district, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the middle of Ningjiang district, 3km away from the seat of Ningjiang district people's government. It borders Dawa town in the northeast, Shanyou town in the southeast and south, Xingyuan Township in the southwest, maoduzhan town in the West and bodu Township in the north. The total administrative area is 144.58 square kilometers.

The new urban and rural areas originally belonged to Fuyu town; in 1995, the new urban and rural areas were assigned to Ningjiang district. By the end of 2018, 33428 people had registered residence in new urban and rural areas. As of June 2020, 13 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of new urban and rural areas.

In 2011, the new urban and rural fiscal revenue was 10.36 million yuan, and the per capita fiscal revenue was 264 yuan.

History of construction

Originally in Fuyu town.

In February 1988, new urban and rural areas were set up.

In 1995, it was assigned to Ningjiang district.

By the end of 2011, Xincheng Township had 13 administrative villages, including Tianjia, Minzhu, Changhong, Daijia, Bajiazi, Lianhe, sijiazi, Ross, Songjiang, Chenguang, Heping, Liangjiazi, and agriculture and forestry, with 60 villager groups.

As of June 2020, 13 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of new urban and rural areas. The Township People's government is located at 376 Tuanjie street.

climate

The new urban and rural climate is continental with four distinct seasons. In spring, it is dry and windy with fast temperature rise; in summer, it is hot with concentrated precipitation; in autumn, it is cool with more sunny days; in winter, it is long with frozen rivers and frozen earth.

hydrology

Xincheng Township belongs to the second Songhua River system. The second Songhua River enters from Tianjia village in Southeast China and flows into Lianhe village from southeast to northwest. The river is 15 km long.

The main natural disasters in new urban and rural areas include drought, flood, wind, groundwater pollution, land desertification, alkalization, soil erosion, hail, low temperature, frost and diseases and insect pests. In the total population, there are 37801 Han people (96.5%), 1391 Hui, Mongolian, Tibetan and Miao people (3.5%), 1063 Hui people (76.4%) and 184 Mongolian people (13.2%).
