West Street office is located in the southwest of the city, north to Gulou West Road, east to Gulou South Street, West to Binhe Road, with a total area of about 5.13 square kilometers. It has five community neighborhood committees, 50 administrative enterprises and institutions with a total population of 31000. The office has 28 cadres and staff, 9 civil servants and 1 public service staff after the institutional reform in July 2002. It has four departments including comprehensive office, comprehensive management office, economic development office and community construction office and a community service center. From 1999 to 2002, it was rated as the red flag unit of comprehensive management by the municipal comprehensive management committee for four consecutive years.

Community construction

In May 2002, the original neighborhood committee was reformed from 12 village committees to 5 community committees.
