Xiangshun town
Xiangshun Town, belonging to Tonghe County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southeast of Tonghe county. It is connected with Qinghe town in the East, dalomi town of Fangzheng County across the Songhua River in the south, Sanchan Township in the West and Fengshan Town in the north. The town covers an area of 644.7 square kilometers. Up to 2019, the number of registered residence in Xiang Shun town was 21065.
Xiangshun town was named shunshantun in the late Qing Dynasty. In 1915, it belonged to the Second District of Tonghe County; in 1929, it belonged to the third district. In March 1946, Xiangshun district was set up; in May, it merged with Qinghe District to form Qingxiang district. In 1947, Xiangshun district was renamed the Sixth District of Tonghe county. In March 1956, it was changed to Xiangshun township. In October 1958, the Township Reform commune was established. In March 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In February 2001, Chuangye township was incorporated. In 2003, it was changed from Xiangshun township to Xiangshun town.
