The street was set up in 1987. It is located in the west of Tongren City. in 1997, it covers an area of 44.2 square kilometers and has a population of 35000. Tongren, Songtao and Zunyi pass through Tongren highway. It has jurisdiction over eight neighborhood committees, namely Huaguoshan, Liangshuijing, stadium, army land, 103, Dajiangping, lusiyan and tongyunsi, and seven administrative villages, namely Shuangjiang, Xinhua, Maoxi, Xinzhuang, Jianshu, baguanxi and Liuyang. on October 22, 2011, Guizhou Province abolished Tongren area, established prefecture level Tongren City, abolished county-level Tongren City, and established Bijiang District of Tongren City. The former county-level Tongren City (excluding Chadian Town, Yutang Township and Daping township) is the administrative region of Bijiang district. The street belongs to Bijiang district.
