Shenjing town

Shenjing town belongs to Taishan City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the southwest of Taishan City, adjacent to Zhenhai Bay, Hengpi town of Enping City and Chishui town of Kaiping City, 76 kilometers away from Taicheng. On May 19, 2006, Shenjing and Nafu towns were merged into Shenjing Town, which has 18 Village (neighborhood) committees and 373 villages. The total area of Shenjing town is 319.83 square kilometers, with a population of 46738 (2017). Shenjing is an old revolutionary base area, both mountainous and coastal. The origin of the name

Shenjingcheng is located in the Plateau Basin, surrounded by mountains, Waitoushan in the south, guodishan in the north and Xishan in the West. Deep well city is located in it, so it is called deep well. The original wall around the North Street and South Street two villages (there is an east-west street, North Street and South Street are located in the north and south, the name of the village is based on this). The wall is thick and high, three Zhang six high, two meters wide, on the horse. There were watchtowers and crenels on the city wall, which were greatly damaged during the cultural revolution. It can also be seen that the prototype (only two walls in the northwest) was still in disrepair. Especially after the reform and opening up, the local villagers demolished all the houses to build, leaving only the wall, which gradually collapsed and finally disappeared.
