In 1960, shaguotun sub district office was set up, which belongs to shaguotun town. The office is named after its location. It was assigned to Nanpiao town in 1962, Nanpiao District of Jinzhou City in 1983 and Nanpiao District of Jinxi City in 1990. In 1996, it covers an area of 1.91 square kilometers and has a population of 6000. It has jurisdiction over seven neighborhood committees, namely, Shanan, Shadong, zongku, Anyuan, shaxiu, Hongshi and Nanni.
