Beicheng Street

Beicheng street is adjacent to the Yangtze River in the East and Tuojiang River in the West. Connected with Nancheng street and dashanping street, it is the core area of Luzhou City, and the service industry is quite developed. Shuijinggou and Yinghui road are the core of Luzhou's prosperous business district. Covering an area of about 2.5 square kilometers, it governs dongmenkou, Zhuzi street and other communities, with a population of 44910 (2010).

Beicheng sub district office is located in the north of Luzhou City, adjacent to the Yangtze River in the East, across the river from Rubia street; to shuijinggou in the south, connected with Nancheng street; to dashanping street in the West; to Tuojiang River in the north, covering an area of 2.5 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over six community neighborhood committees, including Zaojiao lane, dongmenkou, Lianxi Road, Zhuzi street, Dahe street and Xiaohe street, with a total of 30 community cadres. There are 12811 permanent residents with a population of 44910 (2010) and 3500 temporary residents. There are 15 ethnic groups, including Han, Hui, Hani, Mongolian and Tibetan.

It was a North Town before 1950, an urban area in 1951, and a North Street since 1953. Located in the north of the District, it covers an area of 1.9 square kilometers and has a population of 40000. It has 21 neighborhood committees, including Zhuzi street, Dabei street, Baocheng Road, Yinghui Road, Daci Road, Zaojiao lane, pipagou, Daping street, Gongyuan Road, Su highway, Zhiping Road, Dahe Street, dongmenkou, Houhe street, Renhe Road, Xiaoyi Road, Linjiang Road, Xiaohe street, Guihua street, Weijia street and Laodong road. In 2003, it covers an area of 5 square kilometers, governs six communities and has a permanent population of 46484. In 2004, the area was 2.5 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 42146 (2004), and 6 communities were administered.
