It is located in Liancheng County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, located in the northeast of Liancheng County, with an area of 86.60 square kilometers, and 9238 registered residence population (2018), with 9 Village Committees (October 2019).

Historical evolution

In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was Jiele management area in the attached urban area.

In 1956, it belonged to Chaomei commune.

In 1984, it was transformed into Wenchuan township.

In 1993, nine village committees including Jiele village were set out from the original Sichuan township to form Jiele township.
