Wan'an Street

Wan'an street, Tianfu New District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was once known as Wan'an Chang and Daoshi bridge. It was named Wan'an because of its Wanfu temple and Ding'an bridge, implying that "all things are safe in the land of Wan'an".

Wan'an sub district has obvious traffic and location advantages. Tianfu Avenue, Metro Line 1, Lushan Avenue, Zizhou Avenue, Chengdu Zigong Luzhou expressway, xinchengren expressway, Beijing Road, Shenyang Road, East extension of Haichang road and Metro Line 6 run through the whole area.

On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Chengdu to adjust the administrative divisions of 15 counties (cities, districts) including Longquanyi District (cfzm [2019] No. 24): Wan'an town was abolished and Wan'an street was established. The former administrative region of Wan'an town was the administrative region of Wan'an street, and Wan'an Street office was located at No. 669, 2nd section of Lushan Avenue.

Evolution of organizational system

On March 27, 1965, the 154th meeting of the State Council decided to abolish the establishment of Huayang county and merge it into Shuangliu County. On April 8, the people's Committee of Sichuan Province issued a notice of withdrawing and merging counties. On July 1, Huayang county was formally merged into Shuangliu County, with 18 communes (including Wan'an) and 3 towns under its jurisdiction merged into Shuangliu County.

Since December 1, 2013, in order to speed up the construction of Tianfu New Area in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, with the approval of Chengdu Municipal People's government, social management and public services within Wan'an town of Shuangliu County are managed and served by Chengdu Area Management Committee of Tianfu New Area in Sichuan Province.

In 2015, 12 towns (including Wan'an town) in Tianfu New District of Chengdu were approved by the municipal government to add Street office signs.

In December 2019, according to the document (CFH [2019] No. 127), Wan'an town was abolished and Wan'an street was established. The former administrative region of Wan'an town was the administrative region of Wan'an street, and Wan'an Street office was located at No. 669, 2nd section of Lushan Avenue.

Wan'an street has 7 communities and 4 villages: Dashi community, chengnanpo community, Heyun community, Yalan community, Lushan community, ding'anqiao community, Gaodian community, Shuangquan village, Kaiyuan village, Shiqiao village and hanboling village.

It starts from Xinxing street in the East, about 8km away from Longquanshan Forest Park, Huayang street in the west, about 30 minutes' drive from Shuangliu International Airport, Xinglong Street in the south, about 12km away from Xinglong lake, the core area of Tianfu new area, and Chengdu high tech Zone in the north;

Climatic characteristics

Wan'an street has pleasant climate, beautiful scenery and rich ecological resources. The town has four distinct seasons, with an average annual temperature of 16.2 ℃. With an average annual rainfall of 921 mm, the area has abundant underground natural gas reserves, which has exploitable value.

There are more than 400 large and small ponds, six 20-300 Mu natural reservoirs, and more than 6000 mu unique ecological forest in the suburbs of Chengdu, just like a huge "natural oxygen bar".

Wan'an Street covers an area of 31.14 square kilometers and governs 11 villages (communities) with a total population of about 100000.

famous scenery

Han Po Ling is located in the east of Wan'an. Because of its high terrain, it is said that in the Qing Dynasty, an old woman surnamed Han opened a tea shop here to provide drinking water and rest for guests.

After 1978, Chengdu municipal authorities, hanboling and Tianma areas of Wan'an town have jointly planted more than 6000 mu of American loblolly pine, which has become a forest. There are more than 3000 mu of forest in hanpuling area alone. The whole forest is high and low, surrounded by mountains and water, beautiful scenery, known as "green reservoir, natural oxygen bar" by the media.
