Xinhe Town

Xinhe Town is located in the east of Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, bordering Dongxihu District of Wuhan city. It has a land area of 119.52 square kilometers (2017) and a population of 131298 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 3 neighborhood committees and 40 administrative villages.

At the beginning of April 2008, Hanchuan Municipal Party committee and government made a major adjustment to the administrative system of the development zone and Xinhe Town in order to accelerate the better and faster development of the development zone. The former Xinhe Town (including folk music films) was merged with the development zone as a whole to form the existing division of Hanchuan economic development zone. There are two brands in a group, namely, the Municipal Development Zone and the municipal investment promotion office. There are three bureaus and one office in the merged Development Zone, namely China Merchants Bureau, Economic Development Bureau, social development bureau and party and government office. Therefore, the area has a land area of 119.52 square kilometers (in 2017), one neighborhood committee, 43 administrative villages, a total population of 131298 (in 2017), and a total arable land area of 75000 mu.

In October 2019, Xinhe Town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

It is a traditional vegetable planting Town, Xinjie ten thousand mu pollution-free vegetable demonstration area, and one of the main vegetable supply bases in Wuhan. Xinhe Town, Hanchuan City, Hubei Province is located in the east of Hanchuan City, bordering Dongxihu District of Wuhan city.

Economics

Xinhe Town is a traditional vegetable planting town. Xinjie ten thousand mu pollution-free vegetable demonstration area is one of the main vegetable supply bases in Wuhan. Xinhe is an important industrial town in Wuhan city circle. Xinhe Industrial Park is an important part of Hanchuan economic and Technological Development Zone. The road, water, electricity, communication and other supporting facilities in the park are perfect, and the public security situation is good. It is a fertile land for investment and a paradise for home buyers. After the development, more than 50 large-scale industrial enterprises have gathered in the park, forming four industrial clusters of clothing, food, village construction and plastic chemical industry. Hanchuan power plant is one of the large thermal power plants in our province. In 2006, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town was 1.52 billion yuan, the fiscal revenue was 17.813 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3750 yuan. Xinhe Town is changing from a traditional agricultural town to a new industrial town.
