Dashitou Township
Dashitou Township, belonging to Mulei Kazak Autonomous County of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Mulei County, adjacent to xialaoba township of Balikun Kazak Autonomous County in Hami Area in the East, Shanshan County in Turpan area in the south, Bostan Township in the west, East pasture of Qitai County and khobodo Province in Mongolia in the north. The area is 7178.86 square kilometers. In 2018, 8509 people registered residence.
In 1950, it was a nomadic area. In 1952, it was the fifth, sixth and seventh Township in the nomadic area. In 1953, it belonged to the second nomadic region. In 1954, it belongs to the eastern pastoral area. In 1958, it belonged to Yuejin commune. In 1972, it was called Dashitou commune. In October 1984, the township system was restored. In October 2019, Dashitou village governs seven administrative villages.
In 2018, Dashitou Township had 34 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
