Fenghuang town is subordinate to Dinghu District of Zhaoqing City, located in the northwest of Dinghu district. Founded in 1992, it is the only mountain town in Dinghu district. The total area of the town is 161.92 square kilometers (2017), including 190000 mu of mountainous area. It has jurisdiction over 9 village committees, 1 neighborhood committee and 94 villager groups. The total population was 8397 (in 2017), with more than 95% of them Hakka.
