Xiutang Zhuang nationality township is located in the southwest of Congjiang County, in the hinterland of Jiuwan mountain at the junction of Yueyue mountain and Guizhou Guangxi, in the southeast of Rongshui County of Guangxi, in the northwest of Jiabang township of our county, in the southwest of Longyan township of Huanjiang County of Guangxi, and in the Northeast of Gangbian township of our county. The government is 92 kilometers away from the county seat. The cultivated land area is 4907.474 mu, about 0.66 mu, and the agriculture is mainly rice and corn. There are Zhuang, Miao, Han, Dong, Yao, Shui and other nationalities living in the area, of which Zhuang nationality accounts for more than 60% of the total population. The township governs 13 administrative villages, 68 natural villages and 79 villager groups, with 1889 households and 7852 people. Since its withdrawal, merger and construction in 1993, Xiutang has been greatly improved in all aspects, especially in infrastructure construction. The farmers' market has been completed. After the opening of the road from Xiutang to Dadong in Guangxi, Xiutang will become an important trade town in Jiangxi Province.
