Caochang Street

Caochang street, belonging to Chengguan District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is adjacent to Yanchang Road Street in the East, guangwumen street and Zhangye road street across the Yellow River in the south, Jingyuan road street in the west, and Zhonghe town of Gaolan County in the north. The total area of the area is 6.2 square kilometers, with a total population of 45716 in 2011.

In 1949, the territory was divided into six townships of Taiping, Zhongyong, Letian, Fukang, Dingguo and Yongjing, the first district of Gaolan county. In 1953, it was assigned to the Sixth District of Lanzhou City and set up the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth streets. In 1955, it belonged to yanchangpu and caochang street in Yanchang district. In 1958, it belonged to caochang street, Chengguan District. In 1959, it was under the management of caochang street and yanchangpu in Baita commune. In 1962, the two management areas were merged to build caochang street. In June 2020, caochang Street governs six communities.

Historical evolution
