Lincheng town

The town is located in Shanghang County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, located in the middle of Shanghang county and the middle reaches of Ting River. It has an area of 195.78 square kilometers, registered residence of 62 thousand people (2018). It has 5 communities and 20 administrative villages (2019). Dried radish is one of the eight dried products in West Fujian.

In 2018, there were 96 industrial enterprises in Lincheng, including 45 large-scale industrial enterprises and 43 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Lincheng is the natural suburb of Shanghang City, so it is named Lincheng, also known as suburb.

In 1949, the city was set up.

In 1958, the suburb commune was established.

In 1984, it was changed to suburban township.

In 1986, it was renamed Lincheng township.

In 1993, Jianlin town was built.

Location context

Lincheng town is located in the west of Shanghang County and the middle reaches of Tingjiang River, with an area of 195.78 square kilometers. It borders Lufeng and Panjing in the East, Huyang and Wuping in the west, Zhongdu in the South and Guanzhuang, Jiuxian and Baisha in the north.

It is close to the hilly land composed of many low mountains in the town, with river valleys crossing. Tingjiang River flows from north to south through twelve villages and three folds, with small alluvial plains.

Economics

Lincheng town is an important production base of grain, aquatic products and live pigs in Shanghang County. Its specialties include black plum, qinfangmei, dried radish, honey pear, yellow bamboo tea, yellow pear, chestnut, etc. among them, dried radish is one of the eight major dried radishes in Western Fujian. A "tafeng brand" dried radish production and planting base has been established in Tupu village.

There are Jinshan hydropower station, yanzitan hydropower station, shamaoshi hydropower station, chengguanzhaba hydropower station, three 220kV substations and Chengguan substation relying on Tingjiang River and jiuxianhe river.

In 2005, Lincheng town was rated as "top 100 towns in Fujian Province" by the regional evaluation center of Fujian Provincial Government Development Research Center. Nangang Industrial Park, the leading base of Shanghang Industrial Park, as well as Longxiang industrial new town and agricultural and sideline products processing park have been built within the jurisdiction, making it the largest industrial (processing) base in Shanghang County.

Hanging waterfall rock

There is a waterfall in the ancient Rattan Garden, and there are two characters "hanging waterfall" carved on the rocks beside it.

Yunfeng Temple

Yunfeng temple is located on the hillside of Shangyuan mountain. It was founded 400 years ago by master Xianglin, the founder of Linji school. Yunfeng temple is surrounded by peaks on three sides. It is known as "left green dragon, right white tiger, front rosefinch and back Xuanwu". Its terrain is similar to the throne.

Training ground

The broad and flat meadow below Yunfeng temple is the place where Master Xianglin led 100 disciples to practice martial arts. At present, there is a bamboo vegetarian restaurant in the martial arts training ground. Usually, tourists come here close to lunch time, so it has become a relatively concentrated place for tourists.

Hezhang mountain

Looking from Yunfeng temple, there is a mountain on the opposite side, which looks like a person worshiping. With his hands together, it is called Hezhang mountain. There is a poem that says, "if you join hands to Buddha, if you are warned, you should laugh at shizhangren and turn over rice to worship."

Xianglin pagoda

Xianglin pagoda is the "Holy Spirit" of siputo. It is located on the hillside at an altitude of 930 meters. The base of the pagoda is an oval terrace of 300 square meters. In the center is a 3-meter-square hexagonal spire tower, and its six sides are made of granite. This tower belongs to the "house tower, tower in tower" construction, and there are small towers in the tower. The small Pagoda in the pagoda treasures the Buddhist bones (relics) of master Xianglin. In front of the tower are the armor of two stone dragon flags. It is said that in the past, there were high flagpoles and yellow dragon embroidered flags on both sides, which were erected by local villagers to show their respect for master Xianglin's life of benefaction and benefaction to the people.

Shutang Temple site

The site of Shutang temple is located on the hillside above the right side of Xianglin pagoda. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, candidates for the imperial examination had to recite Confucian classics in Shutang temple before they could take the examination in Kyoto, the capital of the state. There is a cliff in front of Shutang temple. The view is very wide. You can overlook Yunfeng temple and hear the bell of Yunfeng Temple clearly.

Ancient silver cave

The ancient silver cave is located in the middle of the forest bathing place, which is left by the ancient silver mining.

Yunxiao hall site

Yunxiao hall used to be the place where Master Xianglin lectured. Because of "two Huilu (fire)" in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, Yunxiao hall became a historical site. There are many cultural relics in Yunxiao hall, such as dragon pillars, stone carvings, inscriptions, memorial archways and so on.

Stone Tiger

Stone Tiger (Buddha descending tiger) is located in front of Yunxiao hall. There is a natural stone in the shape of a crouching tiger, which is lifelike. It is said that it is a tiger subdued by master Xianglin.

Shizidong

Shizidong is on the left side of jinyuding. It is like a sleeping lion in the East. It is said that it was the incarnation of the lion who guarded jinyuding.

Jingpingfeng

Jingpingfeng is a square stone peak like a jade vase at the bottom of the Golden Jade roof. It is said that it was the jingpingfor Guanyin Bodhisattva to hold the holy water of Yulu.
