Dongshan Street

Dongshan street, under the jurisdiction of Nankang District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the east of Nankang district. In October 2003, it was formed by the merger of the former Jinji town and the former Xihua township. It is adjacent to Longling town in the East, longhui town in the south, Rongjiang street in the West and Jingba town in the north. As of August 2020, the administrative area of Dongshan street is 69.60 square kilometers, with a permanent resident population of 140400 (excluding the population managed by the South Water Development Office). As of June 2020, Dongshan street has jurisdiction over 18 communities and 11 administrative villages. The office is located in Taikang East Avenue.

Dongshan street is an important traffic thoroughfare in Nankang district. Beijing Kowloon Railway, Ganshao railway, Daguang Expressway, Gannan Avenue, national highway 105 and national highway 323 meet and overlap in the territory. The newly planned Nankang bus hub and bus terminus are located in the territory.

Dongshan street has a mature furniture and supporting market. Nankang furniture city and Hongtai furniture market of 1280 Mu are located in Dongshan street.

Historical evolution

Named after the resident village.

In 1958, it belonged to the red flag commune.

In 1959, it was incorporated into Rongjiang commune.

In 1961, Dongshan commune was established.

In 1984, the village was changed.

In 1989, the township was set up.

In 1991, it was renamed Jinji town.

In 2003, Rongjiang Town, Jinji town and Xihua Township were abolished, and Rongjiang street and Dongshan street were adjusted.

In January 2013, Nanshan community, Nanshan village and Dawei village were put under the management of Nanshan Development Office. It actually governs 4 communities and 9 administrative villages.

In September 2019, Dongshan street has jurisdiction over seven communities including Jinji, Dongshan, Zhubian, Pingling, Jinqiao, Guangming and Lantian, and nine administrative villages including Yaobian, Pingtang, guankeng, Shitang, Wenfeng, Shanglong, tuozhen, Shangping and Tongzi.

In June 2020, Dongshan Street governs 18 communities and 11 administrative villages (including 6 communities and 2 administrative villages managed by nanshai Development Office): Dongshan community, Zhubian community, Jinji community, Pingling community, nanshai community, Jinqiao community, Lantian community, Guangming community, Yimin community, Zhushan community, Tianmashan community, Xinmin community, furniture city community, business city community, Yingbin South community Community, ta'ao community, Furong community, Chengnan community, Yaobian village, Pingtang village, guankeng village, Shitang village, Wenfeng Village, Shanglong village, tuozhen village, Nanshan village, Dawei village, Tongzi village, Shangping village.

Ganzhou (Nankang) Dinosaur Museum

Ganzhou dinosaur museum project is located in the north of muzipai group harmonious Park and the south of sulianxian Avenue, Nanshan village, Nanshui New District, Nankang District, with a land area of 20000 square meters (equivalent to 30 mu). The total construction area is 9271.86 square meters, the building height is 20.8 meters, the maximum span is 8 meters, the frame structure; three floors above the ground, the area is 6842.52 square meters; one floor underground, the area is 2429.34 square meters. According to the master plan of Ganzhou metropolitan area (2012-2030) and the regulatory detailed plan of Rongjiang new area and nanshanwi area, the plot is located in Nanshan Forest Park of Nankang District, belonging to the country park land, whereas the museum land belongs to the public service facilities land.

Ganzhou (Nankang) dinosaur museum is one of the "six battles" modern service industry projects in Nankang District, with a total investment of 24 million yuan and a construction area of 9600 square meters. The main project is expected to be completed in early 2018. The completion of the dinosaur museum is of great significance to the scientific research and popular science education of dinosaur fossil resources in Nankang District, the development of local cultural tourism, the promotion of urban cultural quality, and the promotion of regional economic development.
