Shimen town

Shimen town is located in the south of Linshu County, adjacent to Donghai County in Jiangsu Province in the south, Tancheng County in the southwest, Diantou town and Caozhuang town in the north, and Daxing Town in the East.

With an area of 129.66 square kilometers, the town governs 29 administrative villages (streets) and 75 natural villages with 53300 people (2017). The town government is in Shimen.

Shimen town has a long history, "Shimen night rain" is one of the eight ancient tans. With convenient transportation, s225 provincial road runs through the whole territory.

brief introduction

Shimen town is located in the south of Linshu County, at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong provinces and counties. It governs 29 administrative village streets, 50 natural villages, 53300 people (2017), covering an area of 129.66 square kilometers. It is one of the important towns in southern Shandong and Northern Jiangsu.

In 1995, it was named "Huaihai famous town" by Huaihai Economic Zone, and in 1996, it was named "Shandong new town" by Shandong provincial government.

origin

The town government is located in Shimen village. Because a river in the town flows through here, and there are huge stones on both sides, which are similar to the gateway, so it is named. The town belonged to Donghai County in Sui and Tang Dynasties, and was established in Northern Song Dynasty. It belonged to Tancheng County of Yizhou Prefecture in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and was still an important border town in southern Shandong in the Republic of China. Since it was designated as a dependency of Linshu County in 1941, it has been the residence of District, commune and township government.

Scenic Spots and Historical Sites

Shimen is famous since ancient times. "Shimen night rain" was listed as one of the eight scenic spots of Tancheng County in the Qing Dynasty. Zhang Baoxin, a local scholar in the Qing Dynasty, made a detailed description in his article "you Shimen Ji": "the huge stones on both sides of the Strait slam open and stand a hundred feet on the side. It's like Yan's covering, it's like the close of the river, it's like the one split by the giant spirit. The river runs through the middle of the river and flows to the East. At night, the wind and water are exciting each other. It's a sad moment. It's a long night. It's like hearing the rain, so it's here. " It is said that when Confucius' disciple Zilu came to tan to study, he came here to stay at night to listen. The literati and poets of past dynasties often visited here, and left many poems and essays as records.

The old Shuhe River in the south of Daguanzhuang is the only preserved ancient Shuhe river. More than 20 kilometers of the river meanders through the Maling mountains, with an average depth of 3-4 meters. The scenery on both sides is beautiful, with undulating mountains, crooked waterways, Lushan patches, fishing sails, waterfowls flying and silverfish leaping. On the West Bank of the ancient Maling Road, there is a huge rock near the river, which is steep and abrupt. There is a cave for three people on it. It is said that it is the arrow nest of Erlang God shooting mountain. On the East Bank of Daijian Village (now Dadai Village), it is said that it is Xue Li's sword hanging place.

From Daijian area near Shuhe ancient road in the southwest of Shimen town to Jiaolong Lake in the east of Shimen Town, there are red stone conglomerate geological landscape belts which are unique in China and rare in the world. Some of them are undulating hills and some of them stand on cliffs. They are unique and magnificent, reflecting the landscape style and original state of Cretaceous dinosaur era objectively and vividly, with a total area of 150 square kilometers. Especially in xiaodaijian, "mother prays and looks" as the representative of the conglomerate red stone landscape group, the myths and legends such as "Nuwa mends the sky", "Wangmu Xianhui" and "Erlang Rushan" are extraordinary. Its shape is peculiar, with ups and downs. It is rough and contains ana. There are majestic wind in the subtle places, or peaks or cliffs. It wants to stand and hang. It suddenly flows into streams and caves. If it is present or hidden, it is poetic and picturesque. Hongshiyuan has been recognized by geological experts as the only characteristic Geopark with academic value in China.

history

Shimen has a long history and profound culture. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the town was established with beautiful scenery, outstanding people, rich resources and elegant environment. There are 6 small and medium-sized reservoirs, ponds and rivers. The ten thousand mu original ecological garden field, known as the "natural oxygen bar", and the "Shimen night rain", one of the eight ancient tans, are known as the "Shuhe ancient road" of Lijiang River in the north. Maling ancient road, tiger cliff, arrow eye stone and other historic sites are well-known. Zi Lu, Qu Yuan, Wang Chuan and other scholars have visited Shimen, leaving a masterpiece.

Shimen town has superior geographical location, convenient transportation and communication, and perfect infrastructure. S225 provincial road runs through Shimen from north to south, directly to national roads 327 and 310. It is 45km away from Linyi airport, 70km away from Lianyungang port, and only 30km away from Donghai railway station. The post and telecommunication facilities are complete, and the network has advanced level in China. There is a 10KVA substation in the territory, with sufficient power supply.

Shimen town is a temperate semi humid continental climate with mild climate, abundant rainfall, sufficient light and four distinct seasons. It is rich in mineral resources with many varieties and large reserves. It has been proved that there are more than ten kinds of mineral deposits, such as quartz, barite, marble, eclogite, etc., of which barite reserves are 150 million tons and quartz 120 million tons.

Shimen town is rich in products, and is the main production area of wheat, peanut, sweet potato and flue-cured tobacco in Linshu county. With the rapid development of characteristic agriculture, shallow water lotus root, high-quality pepper, purple potato planting, high-grade flower seedling planting, snakehead (commonly known as black fish), big phosphorus rich loach breeding and other characteristic breeding industries have become the new force to drive the agricultural development of Shimen Town, and two agricultural science and technology ecological demonstration parks have been built. Shimen town is also a strong animal husbandry town in southeastern Shandong Province, with 20 standardized breeding parks, 9 new environmental protection ecological farms, 260 large breeding households, 20000 large livestock, 30000 pigs, 886 cows and 10000 sheep, with an annual output of 30000 tons of meat and 10000 tons of eggs.

Economics

The private economy is developing rapidly with a solid foundation and broad prospects. Two industrial parks, Qianzhuang and Shimen, have been built to meet the standard of "six links and one leveling", and a small urbanization pattern with complete service facilities and functions has been initially formed. At present, there are 15 Enterprises above Designated Size and more than 60 private enterprises in the town, forming an industrial system with complete categories of machinery casting, auto parts, furniture manufacturing, meat processing, agricultural and sideline products processing, hardware, paper making, abrasives, etc.
