Guojiaqiao Township

Guojiaqiao township is located in the southeast of Litong District, adjacent to haojiaqiao township of Lingwu City in the East, national highway x307 in the south, Qingshuigou in the West and longer village in the north. The township has 8 administrative villages (yangjiacha village, wujiaqiao village, guojiaqiao village, Liujiawan village, shanshuigou village, Qingshuigou village, laoheqiao village, majiadawan Village) and 56 production teams. The total area of the township is 27.5 square kilometers, with a population of 21041 (2017). There is one junior middle school and nine primary schools in the township. In 2002, the total economic income of the township reached 255 million yuan, and the total output value of industry and agriculture was 132.86 million yuan, including 44.9 million yuan of agricultural output value, 87.96 million yuan of industrial output value, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 3015 yuan. The total grain output reached 16.11 million kg.

Administrative ownership

According to the spirit of the decision of the people's Government of the autonomous region on adjusting the administrative divisions of Litong District and Lingwu City of Wuzhong City (ningzhengfa [2003] No. 57), guojiaqiao township was officially under the jurisdiction of Litong District People's Government of Wuzhong City on May 19, 2003. Driven by the market, the development of animal husbandry in the township is rapid. By 2002, the output value of animal husbandry reached 26.38 million yuan, accounting for 59.4% of the total agricultural output value. The number of cattle raised is 16750, with 8010 on hand, including 2846 cows; the number of sheep raised is 122000, with 25000 on hand; and the number of poultry raised is 350000. Breeding industry has become the main way to increase farmers' income.
