Old town
The old town, belonging to juancheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province, is located in the northwest of juancheng County, adjacent to lijinstang town in the East, Danian Township and Guquan street in the southeast, Dongkou town in the southwest, wangchengyu Township in Puyang County, Yangji Township and Xinzhuang Township in fan County in the West and North. The area is 100.56 square kilometers. In 2018, 76560 people registered residence.
At the end of 1957, it was changed into old urban and rural areas. In September 1958, the old city commune was established. In December 1983, it was changed into an old town. In June 2020, 30 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of old towns.
In 2018, there were 32 industrial enterprises in old towns, including 10 industrial enterprises above Designated Size and 81 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In the spring and Autumn period, it was juancheng County of Wei state. In the Western Han Dynasty, juancheng county was established to govern it.
In the third year of the Eastern Han Dynasty (192), Yanzhou was in charge.
During the Three Kingdoms period, it was once the governing body of juancheng in Weidong county.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, it was once the national governance center of Puyang in Yanzhou.
At the time of the Sixteen Kingdoms, it was restored to Yanzhou and belonged to the later Zhao Dynasty.
In the southern and Northern Dynasties, it was the governing seat of Puyang County.
Sui kaihuang 16 years (596), the abolition of Puyang County, home Puzhou.
In the third year of the Ming Dynasty (1452), due to the flood of the Yellow River, he moved to the city (12 kilometers west to Wangcun, which is now Pucheng Town, Fanxian County, Henan Province). During this period, he was the seat of Puzhou (juancheng county).
In the Qing Dynasty, it was one of the 34 market towns in Puzhou. In the fifth year of Xianfeng (1855), the Yellow River became an important ferry after it was formed. In the late Qing Dynasty, it was the old city in the East, the old city in the South and the old city in the west of Puzhou.
In 1927, it was the old town of Pu county.
In August 1949, it was the Sixth District of juancheng county.
At the end of 1957, it was changed into old urban and rural areas.

In 2001, Gezhuang township was abolished and merged into the old town.

Yellow River floating bridge in old city
Built in 1988, the old city floating bridge is jointly operated by juancheng County shipping company and Shandong Provincial Shipping Bureau. It plays an important role in promoting the economic development and foreign exchange of juancheng.
Chen Wangtai
Chenwangtai is located in the southwest of xinghuagang village, an old town. In 221, Cao Zhi, the third son of Cao Cao, was granted the title of Marquis of juancheng, and the next year Jin was granted the title of king of juancheng.
Princes' alliance platform
Kuiquedui is located in kuiquedui village, 2.5km southwest of the town. In the spring and Autumn period of Zhou Dynasty, Shan Bo met the princes here and called it the alliance platform. The present site is 56 meters from north to South and 113 meters from east to west, with a total area of 5328 square meters and an oval shape. In 1980, the site was drilled and analyzed from the unearthed relics, which are the remains of Longshan, Shang, Zhou and Han cultures.
Taoqiu mound site
Taoqiudui site is located in taoqiudui village, southwest of the old town. It is close to the Yellow River dike, and the Yellow River flows from south to North 1000 meters to the West. The ancient site is now a gentle slope shaped platform shaped mound, about 2 meters high. According to shovel exploration, the site is oval, 125 meters from east to west, 55 meters from north to south, with a total area of about 6875 square meters.
Original site of Caozhi reading desk
Cao Zhi's reading platform was originally located at about 1 km northeast of the old city. It was built by Cao Zhi in the second to third year of the reign of Emperor Wen of Wei for juancheng Marquis and juancheng king. There are more than ten steps in front of the platform, and there are reading hall, library and Huiwen Pavilion on the platform.
