The old town is under the jurisdiction of Luxi County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province.

Historical evolution

In 2006, according to the opinions of the provinces, prefectures and counties, the old towns and Sanhe towns were abolished to form new old towns.

geographical position

The old town is located in the northwest of Luxi County, between 103 ° 36 ′ - 103 ° 45 ′ E and 24 ° 33 ′ - 24 ° 46 ′ n, at the junction of three prefectures (Honghe Prefecture, Kunming City and Qujing City), four counties (Luxi County, Shilin County, Luliang County and Shizong County) and six towns (Jinma, WuJie, Guishan, Kuishan, zhaokua and xiongbi).

The average annual rainfall of the town is 862.5mm, and the average annual temperature is 14.8 ℃. The town has 30381 mu of cultivated land, including 11933 mu of paddy field.

The village group of the village committee in the old city, where the town government is located, is 19 kilometers away from the county. Shi Lu second class highway, Dou Lu highway and San (he) Wu (Jie) highway pass through the city. The transportation is very convenient. It is the first stop for Kunming to enter and leave Luxi. Among them, Banqiaohe reservoir, a medium-sized reservoir, has a total storage capacity of 79.4 million cubic meters, a normal storage capacity of 72.2 million cubic meters, an annual water supply of 91.349 million cubic meters and an irrigation area of 144000 mu; xinyingpanshui plot has a groundwater flow of 7966.4 cubic meters per day; the territory is rich in coal resources, with an annual output of original water 800 thousand tons of coal, accounting for 90% of the total output of the county.
