Taiping Town
Taiping town is one of the eight towns after the merger of Jixian County. It is the most western town of Jixian County and Jiamusi. It is 45 kilometers away from the county seat and 42 kilometers away from Jiashi. There are 26 administrative villages in the town, with a total area of 107.54 square kilometers and a cultivated area of 130796 mu. 14011 (2017). The ethnic composition is mainly Han nationality, with Manchu, Korean and other ethnic minorities. The town government is located in Taiping village.

Taiping town is one of the eight towns after the merger of Jixian County. It is the most western town of Jixian County and Jiamusi. It is adjacent to fengle town of Jixian County in the East, simajia township of Huachuan County in the west, Huachuan County in the north and Huanan County in the south. It is 45 km away from the county seat and 42 km away from Jiashi. Historical evolution
Taiping Town area, in the period of the Republic of China, belongs to Xingli District of Huachuan County, known as Taiping town. In the late period of the Japanese occupation in Northeast China, Taiping towns and villages were set up. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Taiping District was set up and then changed to the seventh district. In March 1956, it was put under the jurisdiction of Jixian County and divided into Taiping and Dongsheng townships. In the autumn of 1958, the two townships were merged to form Taiping People's commune. It was changed to Taiping Township in 1984. In August 1988, Taiping town was established.
Topography and hydrology
Taiping town has low mountains and hills in the South and plain in the north. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north. The south is a semi mountainous area, the East and middle part is a semi hilly area, and the north is a plain area. There is a seasonal river in the territory, which originates from Miaoling and is located one kilometer east of Taiping Town, with a flow of 16.5 kilometers. There is a satellite reservoir, with a catchment area of 150000 square meters.

The main agricultural products are corn, soybean, beet and flue-cured tobacco, and the main animal husbandry is raising cattle, sheep and horses.
