Jiuxian town is located at the southern foot of Taiyue Mountain, in the middle and southern part of Guxian County, connecting Hongdong in the west, Anze in the East, Fushan in the south, county town in the north, 309 National highway connecting East and West, and Fugu highway crossing South and North.

The town governs 13 administrative villages, 76 villager groups, 135 natural villages, with a total population of 2537 households and 5988 people (2017), a total area of 145.28 square kilometers, and a cultivated land area of 39865 mu. It has the resource advantages and geographical conditions for the comprehensive development of agricultural economy.

The annual average temperature is 10 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 610 mm, the frost free period is 167 days, the light is sufficient, the climate is mild, the land is broad, the vegetation is luxuriant, the transportation is convenient, the market is prosperous, since ancient times is the merchant trade and the military war transportation main road, known as "dry wharf". The town has achieved 100 fruit trees per capita and 0.5 mu of cash crops.
