Donghu Street

Donghu street is under the jurisdiction of Fushun County, Zigong City, Sichuan Province.

On August 31, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Zigong to adjust the administrative divisions of some townships: Donghu town was abolished and Donghu street was established. The administrative areas of Donghu street were Qixian village, Fuxing village, Wuqiao community of Donghu town and Shishi Town, ma'erqiao village and Bajiao village of Qilong town. Donghu Street office was located at 331 East Street.

Evolution of organizational system

In September 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the abolition of Donghu town in Fushun County and the establishment of Donghu street from Shishi town and Qilong town.

geographical position

Donghu street is located on the East Bank of Tuojiang River in the south of Sichuan Basin, facing Fushun County across the river. There are two bridges, Hongqi and Chenguang, connected with the county.

Denglong, Lufu, dongniu, Donghuang and Dongfu highways meet here, which is the traffic center in the east of the county. There are two streams in the area, one of which flows from Erlang reservoir into biexi River and into Tuojiang River through Zhenbei; the other is Mahe River, which flows into Tuojiang River through erlianqiao, Sanhe and Yutang villages.

There are two cultural relics at the provincial level, one at the county level, and more than 10 historical sites such as Xichan temple, Dongshan temple, Aoxi bridge, cliff inscriptions, etc.

Fushun fuyuanhao residence, located in group 3 of Qiba village, covers an area of 5252 square meters. It was first built in the first year of Jiaqing (1796) of the Qing Dynasty. It was built by Chen Hongze, a government official, and named Fenghuang village. In 1892, Chen Fuyuan, a native of the county, built a new flower hall and renamed it fuyuanhao. It is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit with exquisite architecture and magnificent momentum and typical residential style in the middle of Qing Dynasty.

Wenguang tower, located in group 7 of Tongxin village, was built in 1846. The pagoda is a seven level attic type, built of brick and stone, with a stone block on the base. It is octagonal in shape. Each side is embossed with auspicious patterns of rolling grass. The front of the ground floor has an arc top door hole, and the horizontal plaque on the front of the door is engraved with the regular script of "Wenguang pagoda" by Chen Changyong, the magistrate. Its magnificent architecture, rich in stone and clay sculpture patterns, is listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit.

In July 2020, it was rated as "advanced collective of Zigong double support work" by Zigong municipal Party committee, Zigong Municipal People's government and Zigong military division.
