Historical evolution

It belonged to Changtai District in 1949, Shuangjing Central Township in 1956, Changtai commune in 1958, Shuangjing commune in 1975 and township in 1983.

In 1997, with an area of 42 square kilometers and a population of 12000, it governed seven administrative villages, namely hezhai, Wuji, GuWa, Shuangjing, shilimiao, Fengwan and huangwan.
