Balizhuang street

Balizhuang street is under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing. Located in the central and western part of the District, 3 km away from the city center. It covers an area of 4.4 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 107542 (2010).

Balizhuang sub district office is located in the Midwest of Chaoyang District.

In the East, it starts from Qingnian Road crossing and Jingbao railway overpass, adjacent to Pingfang Township and Gaobeidian township. West to Hongmiao intersection, Jintai Road and xidawang road are adjacent to Hujialou street and Jianwai street. In the north, it is at the junction of erdaohe and Liulitun street, in the south, it is at the boundary of Guohua thermal power plant circulating water channel to Jingmian group wall, and it is adjacent to Gaobeidian township.

Historical evolution

Because it is eight li away from Chaoyang Gate, it is named Balizhuang.

In 1956, Balizhuang street was set up in the eastern suburb. In 1960, Balizhuang City commune was changed. In 1966, Balizhuang street was set up.

In 1996, it covers an area of 8 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 90000 and a floating population of 7000. It has jurisdiction over yanjingli and Xili, the first and second of Hongmiao Beili, Xiaozhuang Nanli and Beili, Jingmian No.1, No.2 and No.3 factories, printing and dyeing factory, synthetic fiber Experimental Factory, Textile Science Research Institute, power supply bureau, No.1 and No.2 of Shilibao Nanli, No.1 Thermal Power Plant, No.1 and No.2 of mechanical construction company, Ganluyuan Dongli, Xili, No.2, ciyunli, community, No.1 building, power company, glassware factory, huangshanmu shop, knitting factory, hydraulic engineering, housing fourth, education and working committee, Dongli North Lane, chemical fiber, coal first factory, and 36 neighborhood committees of Public Security Bureau.

In 2002, it covers an area of 3.95 square kilometers and has a population of 82000. It has jurisdiction over seven communities, namely, Hongmiao Beili, yanjingli, Hongmiao, ganluyuan, Balizhuang Sili, Balizhuang Dongli and Shilibao communities. In 2008, it has jurisdiction over 12 communities.

Population nationality

There are 28245 households and 70597 people living in the area, including 59373 permanent residents and 11224 floating population. Most of them are Han nationality, and there are 12 ethnic minorities, including Hui, Manchu, Mongolian, Korean, Zhuang and Miao.

Street construction

There are 271 central, municipal, District, subordinate and non competent enterprises and institutions in the region, and more than 30 textile enterprises and institutions gather here, known as the textile city. Business is booming in the area. Huatang shopping mall, Suning Electric Appliance, Yunbai shoe city, Huashang building are all gathered here. There are five middle schools and six primary schools in the area. Chaoyang District Youth Activity Center is located in this street. This area is bounded by Chaoyang Road, the south of which is the production area of enterprises, and the north of which is the living service area of residents.
