Yuzi township of Turpan is subordinate to Yining County of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is located in the west of Yining County, adjacent to Jili Yuzi town in the East, facing Yuzi Township by Renmin canal in the south, Panjin Township in the West and kalayagaqi Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 57.64 square kilometers.

In 1950, it was divided into seven districts; in October 1984, it was changed to Yuzi Township in Turpan. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Turpan was 16641. In 2019, Yuzi township of Turpan governs four administrative villages.
