Sidetown

Sidezhen, formerly known as liuhechang, was established after the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty. It was built in 1940. In 1967, in memory of the great communist soldier, Comrade Zhang sider (a member of liuhechang) changed his name to sidezhen, which was later changed to sidezhen.

Side town is located in the northeast of Yilong County, a hilly area, 86 kilometers away from the county, 2 hours drive, 20 kilometers away from Ma'an Town, Zhu De's hometown, 30 minutes drive, east of Wazi Town, south of Longqiao Township, west of liuya Town, north of qiuya township. It has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The landform is mainly hilly. Paddy soil and red stone millet are the most widely distributed soils with the largest area. The town covers an area of 40.58 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 10 villages with a per capita cultivated land of nearly 0.8 mu. Zhang sider, the brilliant model of serving the people, was born in Hanjiawan village, sidetown.

Evolution of organizational system

After Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, liuhechang was set up. In 1933, the Soviet government of the fourth township of Wazi District, Changsheng county was established. Liuhe Township was built in 1940. In January 1951, Liuhe Township was established. In September 1958, Liuhe commune was established. He changed his name to side commune in 1967. In 1983, it was changed to side township. on August 30, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Nanchong to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Yilong County: abolish qiuya Township and sidexiang Township in Yilong county and set up Liside Town, with the administrative area of former qiuya Township and sidexiang township as sidezhen's administrative area, and sidezhen people's Government is located at No. 10 Desheng street.
