Saitula Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Pishan County in Hotan Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Pishan county. It is adjacent to Hotan County in the East, Kashmir controlled by India in the south, Yecheng County in Kashgar in the West and Kirgiz Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 8250 square kilometers.

Originally a Kang Kerr Kirgiz Township, in January 11, 2010, the town of Sato TLA was established. By the end of 2018, the town of tsaura had 664 registered residence population, and as of October 2019, 1 towns were under the jurisdiction of Sato town.

Saitula town is dominated by animal husbandry, with a grassland area of 380000 mu, 364000 mu of usable grassland and 8466 mu of forage planting area. In 2011, the total sales of social commodities in saitula town reached 1.69 million yuan.

History of construction

Originally, it belongs to the Kirgiz township of kanker.

Saitula, Uyghur, means martyr. It is named because it originated from an ancient tomb on the top platform near the sentry post of saitula, where ancient Islamic believers were buried.

Sentry site in saitula town

Saitula sentry post is 424km away from Pishan county and 15km away from saitula Town, with an altitude of 3800m. The earliest history of saitula sentry post can be traced back to 1877. After Zuo Zongtang regained the southern border, the Qing government set up the sentry post here. In 1928, saitula border defense Bureau was set up, and soon a border guard team was set up, with the number increasing to 200. In 1936, the border affairs office was set up, and a border guard team was set up in Hetian to guard the game Tula is an important defense area on the border between China and India. In March 1950, a strengthening company of the 10th regiment of the fifth division of the Chinese people's Liberation Army entered situra. KANGXIWA is located in the hinterland of Karakorum mountain, 520 km away from Pishan county and 70 km away from saitula Town, with an altitude of 4280 meters. In 1962, when China and India fought in self-defense and counterattack, it was the front command post of Xinjiang and southern Xinjiang Military Region, and KANGXIWA martyrs' cemetery stood on the hillside opposite KANGXIWA's front finger.
