Cilin town

Cilin Town, located in the southeast of Changzi County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, is located at the north foot of Ziyun mountain and Cilin mountain. It is named for its location at the foot of Cilin mountain. The town covers an area of 63 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 28900 (2017). The town people's government is stationed in Zhangdian. In 1949, it belonged to the third district of the eldest son, dongtianliang Township in 1953, buchun Township in 1956, commune in 1958, dongtianliang town in 1984, nanzhangdian Township merged in 2000, and dongtianliang town was renamed Cilin town.

Jiao Xiang mountain is located at the junction of Bu Village and setou town. The mountain is east-west, with a total length of 7 kilometers. The main peak is 1233.6m above sea level. Because of the shape of the mountain, it is named.

Liuliding is located at the junction of South Cilin town and Gaoping City. The mountain is oriented from east to west, adjacent to Nangong mountain in the East, Xiangong mountain in the West and Mopan Mountain in the north. The total length is 5 km. 5 m above sea level.

Cilin mountain is located at the junction of Cilin town and setou town. The mountain is east-west, with a total length of 4 km. The main peak is 1158 meters above sea level. The mountain has a "faxing Temple" and a joint name of "Cilin Temple", hence its name.

Danzhuling is located at the junction of Cilin town and Gaoping. The main peak is 1131 meters above sea level. Danzhu, the eldest son of King Yao, visited the mountain, so it was named.

Tumenling is located at the junction of Cilin town and dabaotou town. The mountain is east-west. The total length is about 5 km. The main peak is 1139.6 meters above sea level. Because there is a natural earth concave under the main peak of the mountain, which looks like a door, so it is named.

The river in Cilin town is mainly a Danhe River, which originates from the northern foot of Danzhuling mountain in Cilin town. It flows from south to north to Jiaoli village and flows into the southern source of Zhuozhang. It is about 18 kilometers long and has a drainage area of 120 square kilometers. It is a Changliu river. It is named after Danzhuling, which originated in the territory of Cilin.

In 1926, Shanxi Provincial Road Engineering Bureau issued a general order, requiring the governors of Qixian, Wuxiang, Qinxian, Xiangyuan, Tunliu, Changzhi, eldest son, Gaoping, Jincheng and other places to raise money and build roads in sections. Zhangdian and dabaotou, Chengguan and Baodian

All of them are important commercial towns in the jurisdiction of the eldest son of Jinyu Official Road (Taiyuan to Luoyang). The village is strange, like Phoenix, located in the center, business prosperity. In the north of the village, there is a Sanhuang Pavilion dedicated to Shennong, Fuxi and nujuan, which is the bird's head; in the south of the village, there is a grandmother temple dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva, which is the bird's tail; the North-South Street connects the official road, which is the bird's body; the east-west street is a triangular house, which is the bird's wing, so it is called Fenghuang village. The Li family in the jiulianhuan compound is the first family in the village.

Jiulianhuan compound

It is a cultural relic protection unit at the county level. It is located in the central area on the east side of the North-South street of Zhangdian village. It is east-west. There are more than ten courtyards, large and small, and they are connected by doors. Each door is opened as a whole; each door is closed as a unit. There is division in combination, and division in combination; there is zero in the whole, and zero in the whole is the whole, so it is called "nine linked compound".

Faxing Temple

Faxing temple is a national key cultural relics protection unit, located in Cilin mountain of Cilin town. Faxing temple was first built in the first year of Shending (the year name of Houliang Lulong) in the later Wei Dynasty (401 A.D.). It is said that one of the eminent monks traveled to Cilin mountain and enjoyed the Buddhist scenery here so much that he built the Cilin temple on the mountain. In the first year of Shangyuan Dynasty, Emperor Li Zhi visited Cilin temple, changed it into Guangsheng temple, and gave two peonies to the temple. During the reign of emperor Yingzong of Song Dynasty, Emperor zhao shu changed Guangsheng temple into "faxing Temple". Due to its disrepair and dilapidated appearance, and its location was the main mining area of cilinshan coal mine, cracks in the foundation of the temple appeared in the late 1970s, the temple tilted, and the courtyard walls were out of shape, which threatened to collapse and be destroyed. After repeated investigation and study by the county, city, provincial and central cultural relics departments, it was confirmed that the original site of the Northern Wei Dynasty building could not be restored. Therefore, it was decided to move the faxing temple to the opposite Cuiyun mountain.
