Yanzidun Township

Yanzidun township is located in the southern end of Huinong District, Shizuishan City, Ningxia, with the towering Helan Mountain in the West and the surging Yellow River in the East. National Highway 109 and National Highway 110 pass through the territory. It governs 10 administrative villages, 74 villager groups, with a total population of 9837 people (2017), covering an area of 96 square kilometers. We should pay equal attention to quantity and quality, production and circulation, speed and efficiency, small groups and large-scale breeding, and focus on the development of basic ewes with multiple performance. The annual feeding amount of ewes has reached 100000, accounting for one third of the total area. With the continuous development of "two high and one excellent" agriculture, yanzidun township has become an important seed production maize base in Shizuishan city of Ningxia. We will vigorously expand new industries in the labor economy. Based on the principle of serving the people, facilitating the people and benefiting the people, the labor force has been transformed from quantity type to quality type, from short-term type to long-term type, and from physical type to intelligent type. Skill training courses have been extended to farmers' doorstep, and 3323 workers have been transferred in the whole Township, accounting for 46% of the total labor force in the whole township. Development status

In 1998, yanzidun township was rated as the advanced township of wolfberry base construction by Huinong municipal Party committee and government. On June 16, 2000, Jiang Zemin and other party and state leaders visited Lycium barbarum garden in yanwochi village. In 2002, yanzidun township was rated as the advanced township of pollution-free wolfberry production by Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. In 2002 and 2004, Shizuishan municipal Party committee was successively elected as "six good" township party committee and "five good" township party committee.
