Caicai Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Zhiduo County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the west of Zhiduo County, bordering jiajibolo town of Zhiduo county and haxiu township of Yushu County in the East, zaqing township of Zaduo County in the southeast, Suojia Township in the southwest, Zhahe Township and Zhiqu Township in the northwest. The administrative area is 6384.61 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, 7319 people in the township had a registered residence. As of October 2019, there are four animal husbandry committees under its jurisdiction.
In 2011, the per capita net income of herdsmen in Caicai township was 2127.9 yuan. In 2018, Caicai township has 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In March 1958, the colorful Township commune was established.
In 1963, a colorful township was set up.
In 1971, it was changed into colorful commune.
In 1984, the colorful township was restored.

History and culture
"Duoduo" in Tibetan means the upper part, "Caicai" means the top of the mountain, and "Caicai" in Tibetan means the tall and straight mountains in the Caicai River Basin. Now the township government is located in the colorful River Basin, so its name.
