Zhamao Township

Zha Mao Township, which belongs to Tongren City, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai, is located in the southern part of Tongren City, West and south, and Zeku County, Mai Xiu town. It borders on the East and north of the Qu Ku Township, Tongren City. In 2018, the area was 536.56 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 5057.

In 1956, zhamao township was established. In 1958, red star commune was established. In 1961, zhamao commune was established. In 1984, zhamao township was restored. As of October 2019, zhamao village has jurisdiction over zhamao village, kasuhu animal husbandry Committee, heli village and guogailicang village.

In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers and herdsmen in zhamao township was 3913 yuan; the crop planting area was 1800 mu, including 1200 mu of grain crops and 600 mu of cash crops; the potato planting area was 462 Mu and the rape planting area was 600 mu.
