Malian Township

Malian Township, belonging to Menyuan Hui Autonomous County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the southeast of the county across Haomen River, adjacent to Yintian Township in the East, Daban mountains and Datong County in the south, Meiyaogou village of Haomen town in the west, and Xitan and quankou towns across Haomen River in the north. The area is 100.28 square kilometers. In 2018, 8152 people registered residence.

In 1938, it was Fengsheng Township in the second district. In 1949, it was a new town in the second district. In 1953, it was maliangou Township in the second district. In 1956, maliangou township was under the jurisdiction of the county. In 1958, it belonged to the red flag people's commune. In 1962, Malian people's commune was established. In 1983, it was changed to Malian township. As of October 2019, Malian township has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.

In 2018, Malian township has 7 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Malian township is located in the southeast of Haomen River, adjacent to Yintian Township in the East, Daban mountain and Datong County in the south, Meiyaogou village of Haomen town in the west, and Xitan and quankou town across Haomen River in the north. The area is 100.28 square kilometers.

topographic features

Malian township is close to Daban mountain in the South and binhaomen River in the north. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with an average altitude of 2800 meters. The northern part of Malian Township belongs to Haomen Valley, which is flat and open, and the southern part is mostly alpine meadow. Big, small Zhaobi mountain, yak mountain and other Zhongshan lianggoucha gorge crisscross the territory.
