Hongyazigou Township
Hongyazigou Township, belonging to Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southeast of Huzhu Tu Autonomous County. It is connected with Songduo Township and Shuimogou village of Ledu County in the East, Ping'an County across the Huangshui River in the south, halazhigou Township in the West and banyan town in the North. It is 41 kilometers away from Huzhu County, with a total area of 179.31 square kilometers.
In 1949, hongyazigou township was set up as Shangzhai Township and Baima township; in 1983, hongyazigou commune was changed into hongyazigou township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of red cliff village was 20842. In 2019, there will be 17 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of hongyazigou Township, and the people's government will be stationed in Shangzhai village.
In 2018, there were 15 industrial enterprises in hongyazigou Township and 15 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1949, Shangzhai Township and Baima Township were set up along the old system.
In 1952, hongyazigou district was established.
In 1957, three townships, namely bahong, Taiyuan and Baima, were set up.
In 1958, bahong, Taiyuan, Songduo and other townships merged to form hongyazigou commune.
In 1960, it was assigned to Ping'an District of Xining city.
In 1962, it still belonged to Huzhu county.
In 1983, hongyazigou commune was changed into hongyazigou township.

In 2011, hongyazigou had 17 administrative villages including Baima, Xiaozhai, Xiazhai, Xingjia, Zhanjia, Shangzhai, danshuilu, Caijia, Laoyou, Zhangjia, Maquan, Xishan, liushuigou, Lucaogou, Jiake, dazhuangkou and Xiaohonggou, and 125 natural villages.
In 2019, hongyazigou governs 17 administrative villages, including Shangzhai village, Caijia village, dazhuangkou village, danshuilu village, Jiake village, Laoyou village, liushuigou village, Lucaogou village, Maquan village, Xishan village, Xiazhai village, Xiaozhai village, Xingjia village, Zhanjia village, Zhangjia village, Baima village and Xiaohonggou village. The people's government is stationed in Shangzhai village.

Hongyazigou township is located in the transition zone between the Loess Plateau and the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, with an average altitude of 2261 meters. The landform is dominated by mountains, and the terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The geological structure belongs to the eastern part of the Qilian Mountain trough fold belt. It is located in the gully, and the peaks on both sides are red clay.

Hongyazigou township has a continental plateau climate with high cold and drought, long sunshine time, strong solar radiation and large temperature difference between day and night. The general trend of temperature distribution is decreasing from south to north with the increase of altitude. The average annual temperature is 3 ℃ - 5.5 ℃, and the average annual precipitation is 480-550 mm.

There is a Baima temple in Baimasi village, hongyazigou township. It is a provincial cultural relic protection unit. It is located in Baimasi village, hongyazigou Township, Huzhu Tu Autonomous County. The temple is built on the half cliff on the east side of the mouth of hongyazigou. Baima temple, also known as jingangya temple, was built at the end of the 10th century. It was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 1959.
