Dahua Town, belonging to Huangyuan County, Xining City, Qinghai Province, is located in the middle of Huangyuan County, the transition zone from the Loess Plateau to the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, bordering Shenzhong Township in the West and Huangshui River in the north. The area is 215.63 square kilometers. In 2018, there were 21064 registered residence population.

In 1949, Dahua township was set up along the old system. In 1958, Dahua commune was established. In 1984, Dahua township was restored. In 2001, Dahua town was established. As of October 2019, Dahua town has 25 administrative villages.

In 2018, Dahua town had 73 industrial enterprises and 46 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
