Shangxinzhuang Town, subordinate to Huangzhong District, Xining City, Qinghai Province, is located in the middle of Huangzhong District, adjacent to tumenguan Township in the East, Laji mountain range in the south, Garang Township in guide County, lushaer town in the west, and Zongzhai town in Chengzhong District of Xiyu city in the north, with an administrative area of 227 square kilometers.

Up to the end of 2018, the registered residence of Shang Xin Zhuang town was 35814. Up to October 2019, 1 communities and 33 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of the new town, and 1, the town government in Hunan Road.

History of construction

In 1949, Shangxinzhuang township was established.

In 1958, it was the upstream commune.

In 1961, it was renamed Shangxinzhuang commune.

In 1984, Shangxinzhuang township was restored.

On January 16, 2001, Shangxinzhuang Township and Machang Tibetan Township were abolished and merged to establish Shangxinzhuang town.

Shangxinzhuang town is located in the middle of Huangzhong District, adjacent to tumenguan Township in the East, Laji mountains in the south, Garang township of guide County, lushaer town in the west, Zongzhai town of Chengzhong District of Xiyu city in the north, 27.5km away from Xining city and 12km away from the county seat, with an administrative area of 227km2.

Scenic Spot Tourism

There are yaoshuitan hot spring and Jingfang temple in Shangxinzhuang town.

Yaoshuitan hot spring is located in Maji gorge of Huangzhong County, 40 kilometers south of Xining city. A clear spring flows out from the mountain bend on the southwest side of yaoshuitan. The water temperature is between 20 ℃ and 45 ℃. The water is yellow green and has a strong smell of sulfur. Water quality analysis shows that yaoshuitan hot spring contains a large number of trace elements such as lithium, magnesium, strontium, chromium, manganese, boron, silicic acid, etc.
