Tangwang town

Tangwang Town, belonging to Dongxiang Autonomous County of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Dongxiang Autonomous County, bordering Daban Town in the East, niuxing mountain in the south, Dashu Township and Beiling Township in the south, Longquan Township and Dongling Township in the west, and Hongqi township of Lintao County in Dingxi City across Taohe River in the north. The area is 46 square kilometers. In 2018, 16536 people registered residence.

In 1950, Tangwang district was established. In 1953, Hongta township was established. In 1961, Tang Wang commune was established. In 1983, the township was juxtaposed, and in 2003, the township was removed to build a town under the jurisdiction of the county. In October 2019, Tangwang town governs 2 communities and 7 administrative villages.
