Nanyuan Township
Nanyuan Township, belonging to Linxia County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Linxia County, adjacent to Qiaosi Township in the East, Potou Township in the south, Yinchuan Township in Jishishan County in the west, Lianhua town and Liujiaxia Reservoir in the north. The area is 46.04 square kilometers. In 2018, 11720 people registered residence.
In 1950, Lianhua town was changed into a district and later into Lianhua District, with jurisdiction over seven townships, one of which is Nanyuan Township. In 1955, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. In 1958, he joined Dingping Township and later established Lianhua people's commune, which has jurisdiction over Nanyuan brigade. At the end of the year, the organizational system of Yongjing county was abolished and transferred to Linxia city. In 1961, the scale of the commune was small, with Nanyuan brigade as Nanyuan commune, and in December of the same year, it was transferred to Yongjing county. In 1966, piannanyuan commune was incorporated into Linxia city. In 1973, the organizational system of Linxia city was abolished and it is subordinate to Linxia county. In October 2019, Nanyuan Township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages.
