Gaoyang town

Gaoyang town (gaoyangzhen), county government resident. Located in the west of central Gaoyang. It covers an area of 38.81 square kilometers and has a population of 54000 (2002). It has jurisdiction over 10 communities and 13 administrative villages. Baoding Cangzhou Tianjin Baoding south line highway transit. Gaoyang town governs 23 administrative villages, with a total area of 41 square kilometers, 56000 people and 23000 mu of arable land. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Gaoyang County. Gaoyang town was set up in 1950, Chengguan commune was changed in 1958, Chengguan town was set up in 1965, and Gaoyang town was renamed in 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 36.5 square kilometers and has a population of 48000. It governs 21 administrative villages including Dongjie, Dongguan, Xijie, Xiguan, Nanjie, Nanguan, Beijie, Beiguan, Daijiazhuang, beishawo, nanshawo, dongwangcaozhuang, xiwangcaozhuang, beiquantou, shijiazuo, Zhaotong, longhezhuang, yuejiazuo, xitianguozhuang, yangjiatun and luojiatun. In 2002, it has jurisdiction over 23 administrative villages.
