Sexiong Township

Sexiong township is under the jurisdiction of Naqu County. Sexiong commune was established in 1972 and the township was changed in 1983. Township government in qingtangmi, located 140 km east of the county government. It covers an area of 518 square kilometers and has a population of 5080 (2017).

The township government is stationed in qingtangmi. In 2000, the permanent resident population was 2730. By the end of 2008, it had jurisdiction over seven administrative villages, namely Daxin, baze, ruse, Bailang, Dongqing, dongqiong and Demu, and was stationed in Dongqing. Half of the villages are closed to roads. It has jurisdiction over 10 village committees, namely, Daqing, duoga, Bama, quru, Beise, Baire, Dongqing, duoqiong, dime and suogou. It mainly grazes yak, sheep and cattle. There are some sideline income such as Cordyceps sinensis.
